i drive a 99 gsr with around 77k miles and earlier today i was goin about 80 on the freeway and all the sudden my car started to feel as if i were red lining but i was only hittin around 6000 rpms so i let go of the gas and shift into neutral. the check engine light came on and i start acceleratin and my car seemed to redline at 5000 rpms. i exited and restarted my car and the problem went away but the check engine light is still on. i dont know much and i need some answers to this problem

damn... totalled b/c of a code? never heard of that before.. lol

 

lol. not because of the code. car almost hit me on a curve and i spun out and hit the wall. hopefully the damage isnt as bad as it looked last night.
