Remember that old white paste you used to make your collages in kindergarden with?

Ya not that stuff, you need special windshield cocking/glue. It's cheap, like 10$ for a tube at a parts store.

I just replaced mine, make sure the windshield that you are putting in is cleaned properly with a razor knife, and clear off any excess urethane and make sure that the moldings on the windsield that you are using are good. The glue you need is called urethane and you can get it for $10 a tube at any autozone. After doing one myself though I would recommend just paying a company unless you already have the glass. I called glassmasters and they told me $180 but if i had the glass it would only be $90

lol...I did that once.. had a new winsheild put in. Next week on highway a road construction semi hucked a rock at put a crack right in the way of where I see.. Winshield Doctor said the best he could do was fill it with The anti spreading stuff..but it was under waranty. So the next week I had my brother huck a rock at it and made a crack worthy of needing replacement.

Front windows on our cars dont have windshield gaskets? They are urethaned in.

To answer the guys question use urethane.(warm the tube up 1st to help it flow out easier. Do not use buytl tape. Its not to hard to install windshields but it can be messy.
