Default great, now i need a new hood.

well, i just got my CRX registered and put the new plate on. so i decided to drive it around a little. still doesn't have a front bumper so im not completely comfortable taking it to work and whatnot. anyway i was just driving along and all of a sudden my hood flew open and got stuck covering my entire windshield. great. i forgot that i had removed the hood latch because it wasn't unlatching properly. luckily i was able to pull into a neighborhood entrance immediately after it happened so i didn't crash or anything. i got out of the car and closed the hood to find it badly bent in a few places, and my windshield with some new cracks. so now i need a new hood and windshield.
anyway, it didn't look like the hoods hinges were damaged but im not sure. has anyone had this happen before and were the hinges damaged? and if the car was just insured yesterday, will i get a free windshield? thanks

I seen it happen on the race track, dont file for that, depending on your deductable, it would just be cheaper to go to a junkyard or something and buy the parts.

That's also called fraud.

That's your fault you gotta deal with it some insures cover anything when it comes to windshields but you might need to meet your deducble. My dad once got a new one for free just from age of car. Stuff like that varries on your state, plan and whatnot though.

Sucky Deal but your just lucky you weren't hurt.
