High Beam?

Default High Beam?

I Have Silver Start bulbs and they worked fine for about 7 or 8 months now. But now when I use high beams only 1 comes on. Was wondering what the prob may be? EG8 LX

is the bulb blown? my firend bougth some aftermarket ones from napa.. the guy was like "ya man I had these in my car for years".. 2 months later both had blown

It sounds as if one of the high beam filaments has burned out. SilverStars are not terribly great to begin with, so I'd suggest replacing them.

Iono if this applies to japanese cars...probably does, but I know it from german cars...anyways, make sure u clean the bulb off with a towel or napkin after you install it...just need to get your fingerprint off it...or wear gloves... The oils secreated by your fingers (yes they're always there) stick on the bulb and make 'em burn out faster...

Just a tip...

that applies to all halogen bulbs.

i wouldnt suggest using a towel, id suggest you buy electric parts cleaner. it has methanol in it and it just evaporates in a few seconds. use it whenever you replace/install a halogen bulb, spray it on the bulb, install it, and then youre done.

to the OP, just buy another bulb and make sure its clean when you install it.

Whats a quality bulb to go with?......The light generated was a great improvemnt over stock.
