Default d16a6 cams

does anyone know where I can get some good cams (ones that aren't so big I need to do a complete valve train upgrade, but good enough to give me good mid to upper end power) for the stock 1989 crx si motor (D16A6), i've tried crane, comp, web, exospeed, jg, can't really find what i'm looking for, i know crane, web and exospeed have them, but I don't want a dinky cam, a turbo cam, or a re-grind (although i believe i may endup going that route), thanks a bunch, oh, and i also tried gude

I think any cam you find for a d16a6 will be a re-grind, but try Web Camshafts or Delta Cams.

Since when do D16A6 have cams?

Regrinds are your friend. Either stop being picky, or take what they offer, remember, it's a A6, not a ITR motor, you won't have a vast option.

So what he's from Canada?

He put up worthwhile and helpful info, unlike ******** who babbled about ITRs being heavy when the aftermarket of the motors was being talked about not the car itself.

I fail to see anything in his comments that is either helpful or worthwhile. The way I read it, if it isn't like his... it ain't S&*T.

There are alot of re-grinds and or choices out there. We want opinions from people that have A6's and that are happy with their choices.

Huh??
Explain how him stating that a6s have a smaller market and a good deal of the a6 cams are regrinds?

He also brought up it just has 1 cam not 2 like other motors.

There is alot of good info already.

Still... If you are looking for shops that sells cams (Then it is CAMS) I am sure he, she, and or it know's that the A6 has one cam. Please re-read.

And we don't care what other motors have available, just the A6. I see no opinion
or info on a site for them. So just what info is there???

Duuuh... your limited and don't be choosy. What is that? if you call that help then I am through. Sorry ***-assin but I don't like people who post just to post, and don't offer any useful info.

Then log the **** off? You are the one doing nothing in this threa. Let's see you tried to jack it and made a bizzare and unwarnted blow against some one who helped the OP, more then you've done. Now you cry you don't like people wasting space? HAH!

He was being helpful what part of that don't you get? The part he was being Helpful or the part you either have some kinda grudge or don't understand his post.

2 companies that offer regrinds were just listed so no need for him to do more then agree by stating his fond view of the regrinds offered for the a6.

I think from when I was helping a friend do one it'll be fine for boost, it's pretty large but still will work well with f/i setups.

I spoke to Wil a few times about puting one in my old euro a6 I know I also planned on boosting it, I don't remember him saying it's a no go.

I'd say it would work fine but thats just my 2 cents. The smaller cam they offer would work fine with F/I but largest they offer would be too agressive imo.

ok, so i talked to a local performance machine shop, and they said that it would be worth while to get a new cam, but since that option is gone, Web is about the best for re-grinds for the A6, for any car just about. i called them and they are very helpful, i've ordered another stock cam off ebay, and i'm going to send them that one, so i can have a back-up, you know. thanks for the help!
