Default **** Dyno of my Mildly Built D16 old vs new, plus vs a B16 ******

A little SOHC D16 love here.

My old set up was Run #3, the Red Line

SMSP D16 Prototype header w/ 2-1/4" outlet into
a 2-1/4" 300 cell spun body cat into
a Greddy 60mm B pipe into
a 2-1/2" Magnaflow muffler

Gude Cam (.405" lift)
AEM adjustable cam gear
Skunk2 IM
ITR TB - 62mm
Head had a medium port job by DFE (I'll let DonF explain all he did or didn't do)
Stock A6 valves and valvetrain
P29 +.25mm pistons (.040" in the hole) block work by DFE
Stock rods resized w/ ARP bolts by DFE
ARP head studs
Stock Crank polished by Justice Racing Engines
Hondata S200, Tuned by SGT

Then I did the following upgrades.

Installed new Honda OEM valve stem seals
Installed new Honda OEM valve springs since I didn't know the history of the other stock ones.
Installed a Delta 272 cam since I wanted more mid range
I stripped a bolt out from the old AEM cam gear which only had 3, so I purchased a very nice 6 bolt unit from Skunk2, thanks to the Skunk2 guys
Replaced the ITR TB, which was overkill, to a 60mm TB from a LS

Final tuned run with upgrades is #13, the Blue Line

Just to see the difference tuning makes, here is my baseline vs best.

Now Chris at ProMotion had done some testing on a stock B16, so we over layed the graphs. B16 is the Red Line. So much for vtec

I just found out last night that I have this engine in my racer, now I want to put it in a 1989 dx, any suggestions? I would be slapping the whole unit, engine and trans, into the dx, and hoping it works. i have had three days off work that I cant afford to get this far, and now I finally found someone who may have the right info, I dont intend a thread jack here, but I really need to get this squared away.

It's an EG Si tranny except with a EF Si 5th gear with a 4.25 FD

Ratio
1st 3.250
2nd 1.900
3rd 1.250
4th 0.909
5th 0.771

I'll need to look up the 99-01 Si gear ratios.

Great stuff

Does that cam make power past stock redline? I am running a similar setup, less a different cam profile.

< note to self, ask for a coated SMSP header for birthday >
