I'm looking to do a HID kit into some projector headlights.. which projectors would you say are the highest quality ones I can buy.. minus the Audi TT hybird method? I've seen a few different kind on Ebay.. Kinda cheap/rice looking.

there's two ways you can do this.
1)ebay, cheap taiwanese POS light, poor quality, poor light pattern, looks like every other rice mobile.
2)retrofitted projector, by using OEM/factor projector(and hid unit for most of the time) you can get the rear projector that actually works. Notice some of the oem projector uses weird hid socket size so don't go buy a 9006 hid kit and expect it to fit everything. TSX, S2k, RL, more than enough honda oem projector to pick from, you don't have to stay honda if you don't want, it's not going to make much of a difference since you need to wire them up yourself.
the cutting and fitting part is the hardest, plus you have to get it right the first time because the adjustment screws will not work(if you have a big **** projector, which is the case most of the time).

I don't have the time nor desire to retrofit cross-OEM projectors into the stock headlight housings..
I've been reading the TWC aftermarket projectors have glass projectors and are DOT/SAE approved.. which means they probably have pretty good lighting.

But you won't get the sharp cutoff among the other good benefits from a TRUE OEM Xenon projector. accordselux will truely agree. I'm at the point where I want to do a retrofit but like you I don't have the time....and money to do it. For the time being since I paid for the 9006 kit I'll rock it for awhile then later on do the retro.

If you're not willing to put your money and time into it, you're not going to get results. I've seen aftermarket headlights get even DECENT cutoff, but the light output and the color is always substandard compared to even the inferior HID projectors. If you really want color and sharpness, go for the S2000 or TSX projectors. Otherwise you'll be putting crappy HID kits in crappy headlights and getting crappy results. TYC is DOT approved, and so is the Sylvania Cool Blue. There are minimum and maximum outputs required by the DOT/SAE. Do you want lighting that performs at the minimum or the maximum? I'd do everything I could to make my vision as good as possible at night.

Well has anybody had good experiences with just putting HID in reflective lights (stock lenses)? I'm thinking about doing the do-it-yourself black housing headlights on my accord and just getting the 9006 HID kit.. I just don't want my light blinding everybody on the road..

Depending on the housing, it will produce decent results. Almost every aftermarket 'kit' will give off glare, just some more and some less. I can say though in my 6th gen that after a few months of the HID kit I sold it and just bought a pair of HiR bulbs and haven't been disappointed since.
Since I dont give a rats *** about the Accord and I'm just waiting to have enough money to buy the new car, the HiR lights are the next best thing to HID lighting, which I will splurge on for my new one.

I beg to differ. Here's a pic of a 5th gen we did using S2000 projectors, which to me are the second largest single xenon projector...but in any event recognized as a large projector. All adjustment screws are intact, and fully functional. I am not saying all retrofit are done this way, but it can certainly remain 100% functional.

Hope this helps

That means nothing. We'd need night shots against a wall from 20-35 feet to see if they put out decent light. Black housing does improve it somewhat but it's still probably glary.

Those are mad nice. nice job with that retro fit
i wish i could do something like that but i also would never have the time or patientice to do that, so i went with the ebay projectors. they look very nice a snap to install, and alot of light output, downside i cannot figure out how to adjust them. If you dont wnat to spend alot of money or time i would go with the ebays, only they prob wont pass inspection. just spend the couple bucks extra on the more expensive ones i know people that went cheap and regreted it but i love mine.
