ok i am pretty much desperate for an engine right now b/c i need my sol. i have a chance to get a d15a3 shortblock fully rebuilt for 250 i already have a d16z6 head cars already wired for vtec and all that good stuff (it was originally a z6 anyways but threw a rod through the block) just wondering if (a) its really worth 250 so i can just d.d it until i have the money for a turbo d16 setup?? and (b) if the block will work with the head (im pretty sure it will b/c theyre both d's)?? just lmk what you guys think on the questions. please no flame i know the d15 is gonna suck ***** on performance wise i just need my car right now lol. thanks in advance for the input.

probably a difficult one...who knows what kind of mods you woiuld have to do for it to fit or run right...

 

why would i have to do anything to it other than bolt it on?? it is a d15 should just be straight bolt up and go right?

i don't think that a d15a3 block will work with a z6 head. I would pay 100 -150 for the z6 head and that's it.

 

well ive already got the head lol i need a shortblock.
