sleeved d16y7 block and z6 head
I have the opportunity to pick up a aebs sleeved d16y7 block for a decent price. I would want to use my d16z6 head from my old motor. I have read some mini-me write-ups and have an idea what i would need to complete the head swap. Except those were d15 nonvetc blocks, is there really any difference?
Heres what I think i should get.
-d16z6 HG
-d16z6 APR head studs
-d16zy timing belt
Also is there anything i should look for in a aebs block? i haveny seen many on HT, whys that?
I will be runing an sc50 .48a/r turbo so i wont be see HUGE power but mid 300's would be ok for now.
Any imput is appreciated, thanks.

I got almost the same setup. Just take your head, manifold, dizzy, ecu from your z6 and put it on the y7 block. you need y7 headstuds. y7 timing belt. Pm me if you need any other help

all coolant passages on D16s line up with each other except the ZC, and i'm pritty sure you use Z6 headstuds (seeing that they only sell Z6 an Y8 studs) and a Z6 timing belt becasue the Y7 head is basicly a non VTEC Z6 head, same ports, valves, combustion chamber cc, etc..

do it bro! I'm also interested in going sohc turbo. I have a d16y7 and I'm planning to mate a z6 head with it and go turbo and i'm really attached to that apexi ball bearing turbo. Update me man throughout the whole process and good luck!
