Default Considering removing heat

So I'm seriosuly considering removing all my heat components to help make my wire tuck easier and just make my car much more simple/light. I'm going to strip out the entire rear.. repaint it and leave it like that.. from the front seats foward i want it stock.. so i wanna keep my door panels/dash/center console all that ****.. but I can put some gauges where the heater controls went as well.

What should I consider though? I live in the northeast but I also have a 4x4 pickup for the winter that I won't have to worry about (still under warranty for another 3 yrs) so the car will be primarly driven in the spring/summer and maybe occasionally in fall

I want it to be fast little all motor car... i wanna start getting into autox.

have any of you guys removed heat? what were the drawbacks? aside from the obvious

the removal of heat will throw you into a class that you will have no chance in auto-x

If your car ever starts overheating, you won't have the option to turn the heat on to try to lower the engine temp enough to get you home.

Yup, but he is removing all the interior behind the seats. In stock class or even STS, I don't think you can do that.
