My motor is misfiring?
ok, before my car got impounded this morning for my licence being expired, my motor was acting wierd, i just got done driving home from san fran and when i came to a stop my motor was idling horribly, i pull over at the gas station and i had the idea to pull out the spark plugs to see if one of the cylinders wasnt firing, so i found that number 2 is not firing, however there is spark to the cable for sure, not sure about the spark plug yet cuz my car got impounded right after the gas station and i have to pick it up today, just wondering if ne one has ne ideas. trying to assess if this is really bad or just like a spark plug change, etc etc. and a good way to check. THanks!
After long highspeed trips in my DA I have experienced problems with my idle. The tach would jump up and down anywhere between 700 and 1200 rpm. All i had to do was readjust the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body. My guess is that the vibration caused the screw to spin out of adjustment.
could be that but in my DA my distributor fucked up so start off with the basics first change the spark plugs its like 10 bucks for a set of 2 and see if that works which it should but if it doesnt check the distributor cap and coil see if thats still good
ok well, my number 2 cylinder has spark, when i take off the spark plug wire while its running, ntohing changes, so im assuming that the cylinder number 2 isnt firing, i changed the spark plug and it still is not firing.. im not sure if its not getting fuel or not, how would i check?. all the other cylinders are running fine and when i disconnect them they mess up the firing even more, ne ideas? thanks!
ok. so i have 0 compression in cylinder 2. im assuming that is bad news. ne one know where to get rebuild parts for cheap? i want to rebuild it
