have any of you ever had problems cracking your ring lands on your pistons..because ive gone throught this 3 times already. im not sure whats causing it but if any of you might have an idea let me know. it is tuned ..but i have a 23/vtec, had a 22 in a 90 prelude that uses a resistor box and i am using peak/holds-injectors...so would that have anything to do with it?...its all oem parts in the block... some intelligence would be great

 

what is it tuned with? I think it is pretty safe to say that there is probably a tuning issue and you are detonating

 

is this car boosted? what is the engine managment, show me your timing map.

 

i will post my dyno when i get a chance...as far as my fuel curve it was nice all the way across...i tuend with the same tuner as a friend of mine and he never has probs like this..tuning was done with an apex 2 vtec cont. and im using the skunk p28 program...timing was decided on the dyno..never used a timing gun...
