F22 trans will work just fine with H22a. Only problem is that you will fall out of Vtec each time you change gears under accelleration

If you're gettin the h22, you'll have vtec. Doesn't matter if you have a dx, lx or ex.

haha yeah I was thinking the same thing

The tranny will work fine with the h22, just as a h22 tranny will work on a f22

people always say both will end up running the same times in the quarter mile (i know a couple people who have actually tried), but the long gearing of the f22 tranny makes the h22 feel soooooo sluggish... i cant stand it... feels like youre stripping the ***** off of the h22.

personally i would never ever swap an h22 and keep an F tranny, unless i was boosting. the h22 with a matched tranny with LSD is so beautiful, and worth the extra price... save up more, its worth it.

as far as mechanics go, any tranny from a 90-97 accord or 92-96 (and non ATTS 97-01) lude will bolt up to the h22 and work fine. F22/H23/H22 are all interchangeable (hondas are like really big metal legos)
