Can anybody tell me what's the stock clamping force of a 97 gsr pressure plate. And is it worth getting an exedy stage 1 clutch kit with a 1560 lb. clamp force or should i just get the stage 2 with like 1900 lbs. clamp force. This is for a daily driver, but i run it pretty hard on the weekends. Also what brand clutch kit do you guys reccomend. Thanks for your help people.

 

im using a ACT street disc with HD pressure plate gr8 cltuch my buddy has the same on his 01 gsr and other buddy had on in his boosted hatch 10lbs 2 years of abuse and 4 years of abuse be4 that all motor just sarted to slip when he sold it. no idea about the stock clamping force. but the oem clutch is the same as the LS. the HD from ACt is a slight change in pedal feel not to much tho.

 

anyone use clutch net? I've heard a couple of guys reccomend them, and they are pretty cheap also, but do you get what you pay for, or are the cheaper brands such as exedy and clutch net just as good as act?

 

Get an Exedy stage one kit off ebay. ~230 shipped. I got one + Fidanza flywheel and I am very happy with it.
