I just swapped a b18b into my 95 civic. Unfortunately, I'm throwing a code 14 (iacv). I sprayed carb cleaner on it and it didn't work. I then replaced it with a different b18b iac valve and im still getting the same CEL. I have reset the ecu, checked for vaccum leaks, im gasket leaks, pulled the ecu and ecu backup fuses etc. Any other ideas??? Im stuck and in need of help!

 

follow them wire into the harness. does it all look good? gotta be somthing simple

 

i know nothing is wrong with the harness cuz i just pulled it off the other engine, put it on this one and put it all in the car. the wiring harness was fine on the d-series but ill double check. any other ideas?

 

maybe check the wires in the back of the ecu, maybe one of them is pulled out.? wish i could help more.

 

dose it rev surging idle

 

it idles perfect. the only thing is when im coasting in gear it sort of jerks at 1600 rpm then fine at 1500 rpm, then jerks again at 1400 rpm. other than that i would never know that anything is wrong.

 

anyone else have any suggestions?

 

im having the same problem....code 14...checked all leaks and cleaned out iacv...im about to switch out to a new iacv and see how it is...same jerk...id like to know also
