voltage light comes on and off

Default voltage light comes on and off

okay while im driving, the voltage light comes on and the goes away but then comes back. it just started today while i was driving and it does not stay on, it just comes on and stays on for a few minutes then goes away for a few etc

any idea what this might be?

Your alternator is going bad. How are you at 96% and you still have an avatar?

You might also want to check the tension on your alternator belt. Could be slipping a bit. Although there is normally a squealing sound associated with this.

no squeeling sound, i was thinking the alternator too just wanted to make sure before i shell out some cash

as for the avatar, it was orgionally revoked because some mod thought it was annoying, this was awhile ago though but i kindly asked for it back
