Default B18C into my 96 EJ...

Alright, I don't kow what the hell is going on with my search function, but it ain't working for me... Here's my question -

I am about to drop in a JDM B18C in my 96 DX coupe... OBD1 motor into OBD2 car... Also, this is an auto to manual swap

I will soon have the adapter harness, but I want to know about everything I'm gonna need... Any help counts... TIA

i talked to the guy at import auto salvage he said he could get me a 96 b18c1 engine with 45000 miles for 4 grand and he said he could get all the parts i need to convert it to manuel for about 150 bucks.............thats not that expensive

how hard can it be to bolt in a new pedal set up, put in a new master cylinder, mount the shift linkage and run a hydralic line to the slave cylinder that comes on/with the tranny??????????????????????????

it is gonna be hard to da a manuel conversion to an accord becasue they dont make them wiht manuels or do they? but the civic already has a hole in the firewall for the plunger on the clutch pedal

Yes, they do make manual Accords. My friend has an H22 in his, very powerful, but no traction... He's trying to work on getting power to the ground right now, but it's still an awesome setup...

let me know when u find out what all u need to convert it and how hard it is
there needs to be a better detailed auto to manuel conversion story on the hybrid page , it only covers a 4 generation civic and it isnt very detailed.

Make sure that the tranny bracket that is welded to the frame rail on the passenger side isn't an issue. In 92-95 cars, the bracket is different for an auto than a manual (manual is flat, auto curves upward). In 88-91 they are the same (somewhat flat). If the bracket is different in your year, then you'll need to buy the bracket from Honda, cut the old one off and weld the new one in. Just compare the location and design of it to the same year of your car but with a manual tranny.

Actually, this won't be my first time. I just wanted too see if the JDM swap was any different. Granted, I've done the auto-manual only once, so I just wanted to be sure this time, because now, instead of the swap being for my buddies, it's now my own car...
