how do i put the intermediate (sp) shaft back in the tranny i have a b20b with a gsr tranny i already have the hub off i that helps any

Ok im not sure which step you are at. But If you already have your tranny bolted back on to your engine then what you do is insert the intermediate shaft into the tranny. Then rotate with your hand until you feel it go all the way into the tranny. Then there should be i think 2-3 bolts that bolts your intermediate shaft onto the block. Thats basically it.

 

ok lemme explain more..................................i was driving down the road and i stoped put it in first and the car would not go anywhere it still has all the gears the spedo works and the tach works but it won't go...............called a buddy of mine and asked what happen he said my axle either fell outta the wheel or outta of the tranny.............i got it pulled home and i pulled the wheels off and both of the axles were in the wheels........................i asumed the axle fell outta of the tranny so i pulled the passenger side hub off and now i looked under the car and i can see where the axle is pulled outta the tranny on the driver side and there is a bracket on the axle that isn't boltedto the motor in so im stuck right now help me please

 

that is your intermediate shaft. it's an easy fix. push it back in, find some bolts that will help the bracket mount to the engine block and your done, as far as that goes. then put everything back the way it was axle in the hub, hub to the suspension, wheel to the hub!

 

do you think some tranny fluid leaked out because i looked down the underside of car and theres a bunch of grease on on the exhaust pipe.

 

sounds like it. finish the deal with the axle. make sure evreything is back in place and bolted up right. don't forget to double check everything. then borrow or have somone take you to the parts store and pick up some fluid and change what's left of your old one. then add the new one.

there is no way of telling about the tranny fluid, so it's better safe than sorry.

 

ok i got the axle back in do you by any chance know what size bolts i need to put in the bracket that goes to the block i also have a qt of mobile 1 10-30
