hey guys i am new here and i need some help with my car the problem is it wont start i put in a new distributor and ignition coil also put in a brand new starter i know i am gettin fuel i checked to see if the timing belt is broken and its not so wut in the heck could be the problem one of my friend told me it could be the wiring harness under the hood could that be true and he also sayed it a 3000 dollar fix is that also true thanks in advance

Is it getting spark now?

Which motor is in it?

How many miles on it?

Does the car crank but not turn over?

 

My car won't start every once in awhile. I have a 94 Si w/115000 miles. It will crank but won't turn on, so i wait a couple of seconds and try it again then it starts up fine. Anyone know why my car won't start up everytime the first time.

fuel filter might be getting clogged, or your main relay might be going out

did it work before you installed all those components? Like mentioned above, is the car turning over and check to make sure the spark plugs are sparking, make sure the firing order is correct, no it is not 3000 to fix a wiring harness

 

i have an 89 si and i had same problem, ended up being the cam position sensor. runs great now and is clocking away at 239,638 miles. good luck with yours hope this helps.

 

Is it getting spark now? i dont know how to test that i did take the plug out and put a phillips in it and touched a ground and it did spark but ma friend did it a different way and he sayed im not gettin any spark

Which motor is in it? Its got the usdm h23 motor in it

How many miles on it? its a swapped motor so its got 85miles on it the body got 196000 on it

Does the car crank but not turn over? ya the sucker cranks but will not turn over for anything

 

and no it didnt work before all the compnents were installed thats why i was installing them

 

so does ne one know my prob.
