Default EL Gauge Cluster: Blinker Problem

I just installed my EL gauge cluster in my 93 lude. I replaced the dash harness with one from a 94-96 EL gauge cluster model so it just plugged right up. Everything works perfectly on it except the blinker arrows. When i turn on my blinker either way both arrows flash as if my hazards were on. When i turn my hazards on, the arrows dont blink at all. The blinkers and hazard switch still work on the outside of the car but the arrows on the inside are confused...Anyone know what i can do to fix this?

*edit* I also just noticed that the sunroof, cruise and dimmer switch no longer light up. They all still work but just don't light up...

yeah i see everything still works on the outside like it should. Did those 3 buttons to the left of the steering wheel stop lighting up for you too when you put the new harness and cluster in? I dunno about you, but even though the blinkers technically work, little stuff like this bugs me and i want to get it fixed.

haha, I had the same problem. Since you have the entire harness (like I did) you'll have a spare plug that does NOT plug into anything. You need to take the grond wire from this plug and ground it to a metal part on your car and it'll work fine afterwards. This mystery plug is in the area of the digital clock if you are having trouble finding it, its got three wires but I forgot which one is the ground. I just tried all of them and tested the blinkers to find the right one, good luck.

I have a 92' prelude and installed the harness out of a 96' prelude and both mine and the 96' had the little black box and I hooked everything up correctly, so I'm not sure what this plug is for

Hey, Hella_usdm, do your 3 buttons to the left of the steering wheel still light up? Or did they stop lighting up after you changed your harness? Cause that's what seems to ahve happened to me...
