Default GC/Koni Yellow adapter?

I've got a couple of questions about the Ground Control and Koni yellow setup on my GSR.

- A buddy of mine is selling me his ground controls but i think he's running neuspeed shocks. Do i need a special adapter or sleeve to use the koni yellows? If so, is there a way to buy just the sleeve?

Thanks guys

why not just look at the gc sleeve and see? if it has the indent on the bottm of the sleeve like the konis do then it should fit.

There should be a black adapter in the sleeve to fit on Koni yellow shocks. GC might sell them separately, call them and ask

I believe the adapter for konis is different than all the other shocks. I think it's a little ring that fits inside the sleeve to make it sit on the koni perch. You can buy it directly from ground control, just give them a call and they'll help you out.

Are these Neuspeed Koni shocks your friend is using? If so then they should fit your Konis.

My GC's for my Konis did not have any adapters, the ID of the sleeve matched the shock exactly and it had a machined lip to sit on the shock's spring perch snap ring.

Just fyi, on my eclipse there was a little ring inside the threaded GC collar that was necessary for them to mount on Konis. I needed to buy 4 of them, and they were $12 each.

Exactly. If the GC's are Koni specific, they will just rest on the snap ring of the Konis without any sort of adapter. If they are not Koni specific, they will need the adapter.

The Neuspeed SP3's are Koni Yellows with more snap ring perches. If he was using them without any adapter, you won't need an adapter when going to straight Koni's.
