Hi all, I have a turboed del Sol 93 SI w/ edelbrock kit and stock everything.


When I cold start the car, the check engine light comes on, and throws 10, 14, 1, 7.

When I start the car when its warm, it also throws those code.

BUT,

when I start the car (when it is warm) pushing the gas slightly and hold the idle like 1000 ~ 1500 steady , then the engine light doesn't come on.
Then while i'm driving, it comes on when it wants to, randomly.

Symptoms are when the engine light is on, car bounces when the rpm is on 1500. The accelation is very sensitive. The turbo lags a lot.

But its fine when the light is off.

So I conclude, when the light is on, car runs on default(if there is any), so as long as those lights are off, it'll be fine.


My problem is, why the heck is my car throwing those cels, when it doesn't sometiimes.

Thanks, I know which cel means what.

But I read the thread to see if there are any ppl w/ same problem, but no.

 

i suggest you bring it back to the installer to fix it

go through the codes and check each one. clean the IACV, do you have a cat anymore? that could be your oxygen sensor problem.

 

i dont know too much about turbo superchargers but one thing i do know is that stock ecus dont recognise boost. and maybe thats why your throwing so many codes
