oki guys was wondering if you can help me out. I did some searching but I dont know what is still up. I did a b16 swap on a 94 del sol. The only code I'm getting is 23 for knock sensor. So I made sure that the correct wire goes into the ecu from the knock sensor, which it wasent. After I repinned the wire into the correct place, I went for a drive. After few minutes Cell goes on. So then I though the knock sensor got burned out since it had a wrong voltage before it was repinned. So I got a new sensor popped it in and still after a few minutes, CELL comes on and code 23. Did i possibly over torqe it and its getting wrong reading. Or what else could it be.

 

id suggest getting the knock sensor removed via chip. tuck the ecu back up in there and still pass visiual smog. good luck

 

I can't replied to your IM, I dont have permessions or something. This forum sucks ***. I like my vwvortex better, but anyways. I have a b16a3, with all stock internals. I dont want to damage my engine, via chip. But I like the sound of the chip disabling the knock sensor, what else will it do, is it safe for a stock motor, how much¿

 

you can make a stock chip if you like. and then just disable the knock. i can make you a chip for like 10 bucks.
