Default thermostat

here is my problem i have a leak in my head gasket, and i just bought this stuff from kragen that can fill the leak up. But i still over heat the engine when i run the motor on local and freeway roads.

So if i am able to fix the leak will the motor still over heat? I had a bad thermostat before, but i bought a new one and installed it, but it still overheats.

So will fixing the leak solve my overheating problem?

You sure you have full amount of coolant and the radiator is bled properly?
