Overheating issues.
okay well, i changed my thermostat, which i heard was a common overheating problem for acuras. after i did that the overheating seemed to go away and everything was all peachy. Until yesterday...i changed all my radiator and heater hoses, and suddenly it reoccurs. it happened after i sprayed my engine bay on base. Any clues as to what the problem is? please help this overheating issue is killing me.
how much would that be to replace? and if i were to replace it and the problem was still present any other ideas of what it could be? like what all things could cause over heating?
depends if your gona do it yourself or not i was told 250 plus a head gasket but i have heard numbers all over the board as well all the way up tp 800
. If it isnt the head gasket im not exactly sure. Your not leaking fluid are u, have u done a leak down test

umm that depends u should have your head resurfaced if u do it. I have done mine 2 times but its not very fun at all. My opinion take it somewhere and have them do it but if u do decide to do it your self im sure u can find a write up somewhere on here. Everytime ive done it a bolt breaks somewhere and it goes all down hill from there.

Fill your radiator full while the car is cold, Leave the rad cap off and turn the car on. Let it warm up. You should see air bumbles come up threw the top of the rad and the fluid level drop.
To know if the therostat is open feel the top rad hose it should be much hotter than the lower one. When there both the same temp or near the same the thermostat is open. Add fluid as the bubbles come up.
when you think all the bubbles are gone and the rad is topped off, put the rad cap back on and then shut off the car and your done.
NOTE: it may take time before you see air bubbles you are waiting for the thermostat to open
