Does "O2 Sensor Heater" CEL code...effect my performance?

Does "O2 Sensor Heater" CEL code...effect my performance?
After extended the O2 sensor wire, a CEL light appeared code 41 (O-2 Sensor Heater ). Anyone know if this will disable the vtec or cause me to be less fuel efficicent

I am not sure, I believe it heats up the o2 sensor when the car turns off the burn the carbon or whatever else is built up on the o2 sensor.

No it has nothing to do with performance. When your car is cold it's in open -rich,meaning the o2 sensor does'nt work till your car is warmed up(closed loop). The heater helps the o2 go into closed loop so it will be close to Stoich. 14.7:1.
