I saved myself $40+ from having to use a damn ecu scanner...did the DIY version
did it 7 times to make sure the code was consistent and the CEL code came up as 7(TPS) throttle position sensor. Now how do i fix this problem?, do i adjust it clock wise or counter? help!

 

Depending on what year you have, that more or less means the TPS is shot. Buy a used TPS sensor ($12 or so from what Ive seen) and have a good time getting the old one off or spend $50 on a used throttle body w/ sensors and replace the entire thing.

 

97 gsr...hmm which way is better and more convenient?

 

Just buy a "new" used TB. The TPS has to be calibrated and isnt really easy to take out of the newer models (94+).

 

any clue where I can find one? i assume autozone..etc would have them?
