Default Need help on correct way to install harness

I obviously have a roll cage but im pretty sure the previous owner half-assed the harness install? I know nothing about harness' but this doesnt look right to me.....

The belts are basically just looped around in a knot, took me all of 15seconds to undue the passenger one with almost no effort

I drive this car frequently on the street and want it to be safe. If you could explain to me the proper way as if i was a moron id appreciate it.

i hope u mean if it were your car you would bolt them to plates welded to the oem 'chassis' considering our 'chassis' is made of sheetmetal.
with a harness bar you should bring it around the harness bar and come back thru the adjuster thing(unsure of name). when you go back thru the adjuster make sure to double back. hopefully someone has pix. i suck at explaining stuff.
