Default Check Engine Light Kicked on while driving 75-80mph

[B]I have a 89' CRX Si with first gen. B16a swap with a chipped out pw0 ecu. I had no problems until this morning driving to work. I was on the freeway doing about 75-80 then check engine light kicked on, the engine started to surge. Whenever I would try to accelerate the engine would decelllerate, now my Si won't run right. How would I check for codes on the OB0-0 ecu.?

How would I check the blinks? On the OBD-1 vehicles you would have to bypass a connector by the kick panel on the pass. side and the ecu would go into diagnostic mode then the check engine light would blink if there was a code. Mine does not blink, it stays on. On the OBD-2's if there is i soft code the light would blink, but if there is a hard code the light would stay on. Besides, the OBD-2 has the 16 pin connector plug so you could just plug in a scan tool and check for codes, data. I 'm looking for a way to check for codes, any1 has any solutions?

crank engine
turn keyone click back from run position(this will leave sys ecu on)

pull down carpet on front passgr side

you will see ecu on firewall

center of the ecu is a red led that blinks, count the blinks

it may show multiple codes (i.e. blink,blink---blink------blink,blink,blink,blink which is codes 2, 1, and 4)

You dont need to crank over the engine. It doesnt even need to be running.
