Default 81mm Pistons in GSR?

i just got 81mm JE pistons for my gsr, and now im kind of wondering if i should have went with 81.5mm. what do you guys think? will i be ok? the block is good at 163k miles currently

Have a machine shop measure the bores.Personally I would go oversize and get the bores round and straight again.

yeh i suggest you measure the bore and measure the piston ring gap. ive ran std bore on many blocks but ive noticed that if the block has over heated a few times, the gap is to big and the piston rings don't seal. As long as the gap is ok, then its fine to run std bore

thanks for the info. if its only over heating i have to worry about, im willing to bet it has been ok bc the car has been VERY well taken care of.....i guess we'll see.....
