LS motor(P75) in a GSR frame(P72) - Problems?
I have a LS setup I will be installing into a GSR shell that I got from the auction. I was wondering if the wiring will match besides the VTEC wiring. I believe all of the harnesses will fit together, but will I see any other problems in this match up? It is a 98 LS motor(with ECU) going into a 98 GSR shell(with no ECU - just wiring harnesses).
Thanks...

it'll be plug and play for the most part. when we were doing my brother's ls engine into gsr body i remember we had to change the heater valve on the firewall to the ls one cuz the gsr one needed a longer hose, the evap tank had to be modified a bit, and the tb cable needed to be changed to ls. other than that, everything should be the same.
As stated before, the water control valve is a little different. In regards to wires, check out http://www.ff-squad.com, this site has great schematics, you will have to swap one pinfit at the ecu connector A, swap the red wire from pin 26 to pin 15, on a gsr harness this is the intake air bypass control solenoid which your ls motor doesent have. Swapping the pins at the ecu connector will change it to the evap vsv and will keep you from settin a check engine light, i am pretty sure thats all you have to do. I just did a gsr swap into an ls and thats the only wire i had to change with exception of running vtec wires. Good luck.
