Default Should I replace throttle body?

My car threw a code and I and got it read and it was "pedal position sensor" shop said that im going to have to replace my throttle body. I wanted to know if it is worth getting a bigger throttle body or if I should just replace with oem. I got dc headers with collector mod to 2.5 inch and custom 2.5 inch exhaust and aem CAI. No other mods. thanks!

According to Slhondaparts, you cant buy the TPS separately from the $600.00 throttle body assembly. Id try to source a used switch bro....

The USDM TPS sensors were riveted onto the TB, whereas the JDM have screws and are adjustable! The reason for this being the emissions in the USA. You could just lookaround for a JDM OEM throttle body and sensor so if you ever have future problems with your TPS it is cheaper and easier to fix. Or if you have the resourses drill and tap your current TB for the TPS.

They are not rivets. They are screws that twist off when installed to leave a blank head. Go to a scrap yard with a hacksaw and a flat screw driver. Find just about any honda TB and notch the blank screw heads with the hacksaw, then unscrew them and remove the sensor.

I have done this several times. That sensor sticks out so it always gets smahsed when an engine is shipped on a pallate and I have to find replacements.

an "Easy out" screw extractor will also work to get the TPS off the IM.

i just used a drill and a small screwdriver, drilled out the center and pried on it, and the whole thing popped off leaving 2 screw holes.
