Default b18a1 vs b18a2

Alright everyone, I have a B18a1 installed and running great in my EF Hatch. I love it. but I know the B18a2 has 10 HP more, so I was wondering why? Can I take intake manifold/exaust manifold from the b18a2 (I happen to have both) and use them on my b18a1 to get the extra horse? where is the difference??

Does anyone know?

This has been bugging me for some time now..

Don't bother go lsvtec or run some crower 402s

No really swapping an intake mani and stock ls cams will leave you spending alot for time for not much, unless you got free time and parts for nothing..

the difference is the cams, intake manifold, the pistons, and the intake port on the 94 up LS heads. that's the reason for the 12hp increase over a 90-93 LS motor.

I do have the parts laying around.. time not so much.. but I might do it for the 10 HP. Prolly do a header at the same time and freeflow car.. I'm hoping the combo nets me like 18hp.. I dont have the money real cams, otherwise I would...

hey wait I'm going about this wrong. I can just install the other head I have from the 91 thats 140 hp including in the intake thats on it.. perf.. then a performance header..

One last question.. B16 4-2-1 stock header any better than the one thats on my car now.. the one I have now is 4-1 that was stock b18a1??? Anybody ever try that? I'm looking for more midrange, not a big fan of revving the **** out of the car, its a daily driver and I like to have lots of pedal all the time..

anyways all of your imputs are appreciated!
