Disconnect o2 sensor, check for vacuum leaks, clean the map sensor, replace fuel filter, could be something related to plugs/wires/distributor/ignition...

my 1990 is doing the same thing...is the ecu throwing any trouble codes... mine is throwing a 43...? you could try spraying some starting fluid in the intake to get it started.

try to see if your getting spark. good chance that it may be a ignition coil or igniter inside the distributer. check to see if your getting spark if not those might be your problem start their also might be main fuel relay if your not getting fuel.check to see if fuel pump kicking on when you turn the ignition key to the second marks but not turning the motor over.

well in mine i took the bolt out of the fuel filter on the intake side of the filter, turned the key to the run position and gas did flow out, and when i movet the key to the start position it flowed out, how ever my experence with fuel pumps is that the gas shoud squrt out like a water fountain. it is comming out like a bucket over flowing rather then a like a hose.. should it squrit out? like stream out??? I dont think i have enough pressure...cant tell though i dont have a gauge, and cant find the right one anywhere.

as far as the relay goes i have it jumped, i know its faulty will replase it soon.

so i went to start the car up the next day and it started. so i drove down the road a couple miles went to the store and on the way back it started stutering again. and when i was going around a curve it sputtered and and turned off. i tried cranking it up again and it started kinda back firing a few times. pushed it off the road. waited a few minutes and finally turned on again. i had to keep the revs high to get back home. do you think it could be the fuel filter? help im stumped.
