Conv harness not a/c compatible??
Well iv had my ls/vtec in my 96 ek for ahwile now and recently decided to put my a/c back in. Im running a chipped p28 w/chrome and a obd-2 to obd-1 conv harness.
My problem is the compressor nor the pressure switch is getting any power. Iv heard that some conv harness's arent a/c compatible and you have to swap a few wires around to get the a/c to work.
Can anyone help me out?? Its hot as expletive!!!!

A friend of mine had a sk2 conv harness and it would not let him use his a/c. called up skunk 2 and they sent him a new one, now his a/c works.

ok ekay. jay
your car is a 98 right and going to obd1 so
pin a15 on the obd1 shoud go to pin a17 on your car (ac clutch relay)
pin b5 on the obd1 should go to pin c5 on your car (ac input switch)
that should work

I have just a no named brand conversion harness and it works fine!! It might be a problem with skunk 2. Do a search for ecu pinouts for your car. Look at the diagram and see if you can find a place for your A/c thats wired incorrectly!!
it shouldnt matter, a/c system has it own wiring diagram it has nothing to do with the ecu. basicaly you have to start of with that. check a/c switch at the dash, then check you event have freon cuz clutch wont even turn on, if its low, if its not that try the relay under the hood and check if anything got cut (wires, ac lines and hoses) easy to happen when you do a swap..
mostly its the relay...

What do you mean the a/c has its own woring diagram? The wires for the a/c run straight to the ecu.....
