105 k too many miles for turbo?

Default 105 k too many miles for turbo?

i have a 98 gs-r and i want to go turbo..the problem is i have 105k miles on the car/engine...is a turbo a bad idea for that many miles?

Get a compresion test to see how the motor looks. If the numbers are good then go for it.

x2.see if the compression is holding up, even though your car is at 105k, compression still might be good enough for boost

go SC if your that worried and have doubts to go turbo because of high mileage, you'll have to do lotta maintenance work to even prep your car up for turbo..compression tests, leak down...etc then you would want to build the block sleeving, pistons etc... I suggest SC and do some minor maintenance work for prep. But all depends on what your goals are for hp and setup?

like everyone says...do a compressoin test and if the numbers are good and close within eachother...TURBO THE BEAST!!!
