Default ls in my crx, which tranny best for n/a setup

blew my stock ls tranny, getting a new one but im not sure which one i should get for an n/a setup... which is best.

why do you say get another ls? would be best for boost i guess but the long gears for n/a?

if your willing to spend the cash convert to a hydro tranny. and get a GSR tranny. but if going turbo get an LS tranny

I paid that much for mine. Well worth it. Even after I spent another 800 for a quaife.

2nd the YS1 from a USDM 92-93 GS-R.

Then spend a couple bucks and put a little better set of cams in it, will wake up the top end nicely, and allow you to better utilize the closer gearing.

You have to look for them, can be kinda rare. I got mine for $800.... of course, that price included the B17 attached to it

the guy said the tranny is an a1, thats from a 89-91 crx sir isnt it?
how much would that be worth if i was to buy it?

well i bought an a1. everywhere ive looked said ys1 is from ls too. so i duno i got it for under 500 so i dont care i just want to drive my damn car. thanks for the help

ys1 is from an LS and a GSR, just like an S1 can be a LS or a B16 cable tranny. it sucks that handa used the same codes for different trannies becuase youll never know which one your getting until its installed
