Default inspection..just want to make sure I have everything right

Well, my inspection expired yesterday, and I'm not risking the $140 ticket and tow for driving without a current inspection.

It's a 2001 GSR, obd1 conversion.

Is it safe to say, throw some stock injectors and cat back in, keep the walboro in, and put the stock ecu back in and stay the hell out of boost? I know the readiness codes are going to take a few heat cycles, mainly I just want to get this over with as quick as possible without risking anything.

I've been trying to...but it doesn't look like it's an option.

Good luck passing emissions with your car in NJ. It took me 3 times to pass carolines del sol in NJ with the dam emissions. I would find someone that can hook you up with a sticker.

YES it is safe that's how I pass emissions up here in Massachusetts. Screw putting the stock cat in, just do the defouler trick on the 2nd o2 sensor.

I put stock ECU, MAP, injectors and remove the WG spring, drive for a day or so and go pass. They don't even open my hood. I <3 OBD2, since OBD1 has to hit a dyno for emissions here and OBD2 is computer check only. I have an OBD2 scanner that tells me when the readiness codes are set, then I can go pass and just put everything back in for another 2 years.

So tin foil around the secondary O2?
As for the injectors and clips, weird thing was when I first put my old kit on, with the 550's and walboro, my PowerFC wouldn't prime the fuel pump, so I had to drive to my tuning appointment on the stock ECU and the car ran really well, which really surprised me.

I wish I could just find a hookup and call it a day

Chad, I hope I can get this squared away within the next week and a half, I really am looking forward to Honda Day

I use an 18 mm defouler drilled out 1/2" at the small end. Screw the 2nd o2 into the defouler then the entire assembly back into the exhaust. No more "low cat function"

So is it essentially like a simulator?

it just encases the 2nd o2 sensor inhibiting it from seeing the full exhaust flow which in effect fools it into thinking that the cat is functioning as expected.
