So here it is.....I just bought a 95 del sol with a stock D16 non-vtec, i'm currently in NY and moving back to CA. I was wondering what sensors are added to a car (if any) or what they change about the car when bringing into CA from another state to pass smog. Also wondering how much (really roughly) it is to bring a car from out-of-state to CA. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

umm im pretty sure nothing is added to the car by the state...the car will have to be smogged to register it in CA.. and if its not the stock motor prob will have to be BAR'd

if nothing is added then what is involved when it fails smog?? like, what sensors (egr,pcv,o2,ect.?)??? and is there a special cat. converter used in a smog car?? I'd like to be able to buy everything I need to pass smog here B4 I go because I can get a good deal on parts, just don't kno what I'm gonna need. other ? is what is BAR? i do plan on swapping the motor just don't kno if i can get it done B4 I leave or not.
