HELP: A/C swap in my EK
I searched and didn't come up with anything...
I have a 97 GSR Swap in my 96 EK..Here's what I have installed so far
1-B16 AC Bracket
2-GSR Compressor
3-GSR AC Belt
4-96 Civic Condensor
The high line for the civic (from the compressor to condensor) is too long and gets pinched when connect.
From what car do I need the hoses/lines from?
ALSO...i have the compressor wired up and on...but when I turn on the AC, the condensor fan spins but the compressor doesnt turn on.
I'm guessing its because theres no pressure in the system since it hasnt been recharged? Or is my compressor bad?

The compressor won't come on, unless the system has refrigerant, unless you bypass that sensor.
What about the evaporator, dryer and the lines going to all of that stuff, have you put them in yet?

those are all in...I just need to know what hoses/lines i need to go from the compressor to the condensor (There are 2 the skinny one and the fat one).

Everything has to be from the EK, the condensor, the lines everything.. the belt might even be, i forgot... the only thing that is different is the mount i beleive u have to use one from a del sol, DOHC VTEC...
but the (stock civic) line from the condensor to the compressor (its the thinner line coming out of the compressor, i think its called the high line?) is pinched when it is connected.
Since its a bit too long, the way it bends, makes it pinch.
Anyone else have an idea?

all the lines remain form the EK, the condensor and compressor are also from the EK, the only thing new is the bracket that hold the EK compressor, trust me -- my a/c is working!
As long as I dont have to take out any more Metal Gears

u need to use the complete AC system that came with your car. The only thing that needs to be different is the bracket that holds the stock SOHC compressor to the B-series block. All u need to get is the CRV AC bracket or the Del Sol AC bracket. Since u are using a b18 get the CRV AC bracket, its 1/2 the price of the Del Sol one.
The stock civic compressor doesnt fit with the b16 bracket i have (which i got off a 00 civic, isnt it the same as the del sol?). And only 2 of the 4 bolts, bolt on. Which is why i got the gsr compressor
If the gsr compressor bolts onto the bracket you have then you don't have the right bracket. The compressor that comes with the civic si is the same as all the other civics. You need a CIVIC compressor.
here you go, read this:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1703826
you need to use the civic compressor, the b series compressor will not match the civic lines.
but go ahead and read that thread. i've explained everything on it.
