Default head gasket

Wonder how long will it take to replace a head gasket. I went to a shop and the dude was like 450 bucks. can i get a head gasket at kragen or something?

Could do it in a day if you know what you are doing, headgaskets usually cost about $80.

wow thats rough, last time i did head gasket on a honda it was like 2 hours and wasn't rushing. Beer breaks were added in too

dont go cheap, get OEM headgasket, do not forget new headstuds. and consider resurfacing the head (all of this under 200$)

dont go cheap. if you blew a headgasket by overheating chances are your head is slightly warped. 60$ to resurface at a machine shop. also use a torque wrench! free rental at most auto part stores
i can do this in about 2 hours. but i know my way around.
