Default Putting d15b7 head onto D15B8....

Will the d15b7 head fit perfectly on the b8? I just want to gain some cheap HP before totally swapping to b-series.

yes, but because you are switching from an 8 valve valvetrain to a 16 valve, you have to switch out the pistons because the stock D15B8 pistons have valve reliefs designed for two valves and not four.

depends on the year of the B8......

Late 1992/early 1993 Honda used up all the 8v pistons and went to the 16v DX pistons.

My car is a 92. It probably has the 8 valve pistons. I'll just wait until I get a b16/18 for power.

don't know bout most people, but a good choice would be a D16Z6 block. internals are better than the 1.5 for sure. connecting rods are are about as skinny as my pinky on the 1.5 motors. i believe the crank is also stronger. in addition, it's designed to withstand a higher RPM range.

it's a hybrid using stock parts

u shouldnt boost a d series buy a ls motor for cheap n spank a turbo on that it prolly would end up bein the same price u did on ur d16

i bought my ls tranny for 130 only 66,000 miles on it LOL what a joka lol

nice, but the going proce is way more. you lucked out...maybe this guy will find a d-series for 50 bux? you never know

the going price for an ls tranny is about 200 because they suck

b16 and gsrs around 350-450

b18b long blocks are around 200

i got a complete b18b long block (minus dissy and maifolds) for $75 once

i had a 93 cx a couple of years ago, i did a mini me swap on it and the pistons did have valve relief for 4 valves,

a good engine to boost is a D16Y7 - leave it stock, get an EX/Si transmission, and just turbo it out

so i have an ls and want to boost it... do i need different internals for say 10 psi? and if im "ballin on a budget" what is the best bang for my buck?
