I have a F22B which is a dual overhead cam non vtech engine sold in japan. I am having trouble finding a water pump at my localparts stores because i dont know what car this motor came in. i bought the car after the motor swap had been done and dont know much about it. will the water pump from a dual over head cam vtech motor work in place of my water pump or where can i find a wtaer pump for my motor?

 

no, f22b is a single cam engine from japan, and any water pump from a f22 will fit it.

 

there are dohc f22b from japan.... get your facts stright before answering, try a h23 water pump

im having the same damn problem !!!!! the timing belt im using is for a 1988 dodge caravan 2.5ltr sohc, perfect fit same as the stock jdm belt for f22b dohc (no v-tec) the problem im having is with the water pump i tried ones from an accord and they fit but the gear(pulley) is larger in diameter for the accord so i dont think it will work with my timing belt and it has one more tooth than the stock pump, the stock pump had 19 teeth accords have 20 teeth !!!! someone told me to use an h23 water pump with an h23 timing belt ... will this work ? or does anyone with any knowledge know about the F22B dohc engine from japan (jdm) and what water pump to use? any help would be greatly appreciated my prelude is just sitting out here in the cold and the old water pump is busted and bleeding coolant everywhere!!!
