quick question help please, has to do with brakes

Default quick question help please, has to do with brakes

okay im changing my brakes right now and im having a hard time getting the caliper mouting bolts off. i just wanna make sure im turning them the right way: facing the caliper from the outside of the car you turn to the right, right?

im having a really ahrd time getting the caliper bolt off and it feels like im going to break my socket wrench if i try any harder. any tips?

that doesnt answer my question.

the caliper bolt is on the other side so i would be turn it to the right from the outside?

you are correct. the best way to geta better angle is too turn your wheel so you can get better leverage

How does that not answer you question? This thread should have been titled "Which why do i turn a bolt to loosen it?" Are you sure you should be changing your brakes?

if you would read my question right then maybe you'd figure it out

i KNOW you turn a bolt counter clockwise (left) to loosen it i asking this because the caliper mounting bolts are facing THE OTHER WAY. maybe if you could read you would understand how it doesnt answer my question.

turning counter clockwise FACING the caliper from the outside would tighten it

i wanted to make sure i was doing it right not asking which way to loosen a bolt
