Default cant figure out check engine light... (crx)

just bought an 88 crx si... it has a d15b2 out of a dx in it with the si intake manifold (and fuel injection system too i guess there is a difference?)

anyways when i bought it it ran like crap, especially when cold. threw a CEL. the light on the floor says code 1, o2 sensor. i replaced the o2 sensor, it still ran like crap. i replace the plugs and cap, the wires were fine (7k ohms) now the car runs like a dream.

the check engine light still comes on though even though the car runs good. it only turns on as soon as the fan comes on when the car is up to temperature.

any ideas?

thanks, shaun

it is still giving me code 1, only when the fan turns on. i have already done all those diagnostics, all it leaves is the ECU to be bad... but could it be with the car running as well as it is?

Does the voltage output of the o2 sensor change when the fan kicks on?

Check your plugs to see if you have a lean condition, if so then inspect/replace fuel filter and or fuel pump.
