has anyone ever had problems removing valve stem seals before? maybe i've been lucky, but i've never had any trouble just using a set of pliers and yanking them out.

i'm currently working on a 1st gen b16 head, and about half of the seals wont come of for nothing. i actually crushed one with with the pliers; although i got that one

any tips? i may try taking a propane tourch and heating them up a bit.

i think i'll give it another shot after work today, after than i think i'll be looking into a set of seal pliers.

 

I use a screwdriver to pry them off.
