Default Engine cutoff

92 Accord LX starts, warms, runs, then just shuts down sometimes in motion sometimes in idle with no warning signs or sounds, however, seems to idle rougher as compared to past. 121K miles regularly maintained. Any ideas and advice welcome. Thanks.

Sometimes I have A/C and CD/radio on but not every time. In addition, after car stops I wait about 2 minutes and restart. On one occasion car cutoff three times in one short drive. This was recently and temps were in high 80's to low 90's - could this have effect.

This sounds really weird, wait for some of the other guys to respond, & use the search feature... im not sure what it could be. Just make sure that everything under the hood is sound. ex: all electrical connections are secured & just look over the motor to see if anything is out of place.

When it dies and has a hard time restarting you need to check for fuel pressure (flow) out of the test port on top of the fuel filter and you need to check for spark with a spare spark plug stuck into a plug wire that you pulled from the head and grounded a spare spark plug to ground, let us know if you do not have spark or fuel or any other info you can share please. Of course this will be better with two people.

Possible causes that I can think of off the top of my head include:
1. main relay
2. ignitor
3. ignition coil

Problem solved. Turns out it was the igniter. Since igniter is inside distributor new cap and rotor were needed and replaced. Total cost for igniter, cap and rotor $97.00. Thanks to all for your help.
