i believe its the D15B vtec (since there is a Vtec version, a Vtec-E version and a non-vtec version)

no the jdm d16z6 is the SOHC ZC
the d15b is a 1.5 and the z6 is a 1.6

the USDM d15b is non vtec
the JDM d15b is vtec
don't hang me if i'm wrong

as well as if you are talking about the "d15b" it is the JDM one
the USDM codes have a number after them "d15b7"

the sohc zc vtec is the jdm ver of the d16z6. So the block code would be zc with a vtec valve cover and a vtec solinoid.

true allthough this is true also

there is a 130hp D15B which uses the same head as the Z6. but the 1.5L block

technically the ZC VTEC is the closest to the Z6. All though it's not as common as the 130hp D15B.

the D15B came in three versions that we've been able to locate.
the VTEC-E version comes with the P07 head which is the same as the VX(D15Z1) - 92hp but great mpg.
the VTEC version comes with the P28 head which is the same as the EX/SI(D16Z6) - 130hp
the non-VTEC version I don't know much about but I'd bet it's a copy of the D15B7.

k i may just stick with what i had which was a d16z6 cause im running turbo.... cause i dont think the d15b which has higher compression would be good or would it....? i have a xtra d16z6 but im not sure if it is any good.. how would one check? i mean it seems smooth when im turning the crank but im not sure why it was taken out or whats wrong with it...i just wanna replace my motor as cheap as possable.. in like 6 months i can afford to put a better motor in..

Thanks for your time and comments...
