sup.. i'm gettin a ect CEL problem, and i have no idea which sensor that is,, and i think that's the reason it's makin my car idle at 1500.. can anyone point me to the sensor?? i'm running a 97 civic ex coupe with a 98 gsr motor.. i used a 97 ex harness, with a obd I gsr ecu, usin a jumper harness.. any help would be greatful thanx...

ECT is on the left side of the motor. its near the upper radiator hose.

 

The Engine Coolant Temperature sensor is on the right side of the cylinder head above the transmission. It has a two pin electrical connector going to it. The one pin sensor is for your temp. guage. Code #6, correct?

i found the problem,, i had the vtec and ect plugs swapped maybe that's y vtec wasn't engagin.. duh.. thanx for those who relpied..
