Anybody top 200,000 miles yet on a S2k????? Trying to see how long these things will hold up!!! Post your miles over 100k!!!!

 

almost 100K here, perfect compression, leakdown is a go, i beat the jebus out the car everyday.

all maintenace and service are done at my garage.

part replaced so far: front bumper(not my fault), radiator(hairline crack), waterpump(at 90k), tie rod ends(boot cracked), clutch. that's about it


Oh, just did a valve lash adjustment. Check your if it's 100K or earlier, alot of mine is off slightly, i ended up tightening almost every valves.


tranny is good, diff is normal, still on original axles, top have some wear, i am waiting for it to wear a hole so i can justify a new hardtop.

There are a couple people on s2ki over 200k now. I know of two, one stock and one modded (IHE). Both still running strong. The key is maintenance on time!

 

wow 200,000 miles, i dread putting each and every mile on my car, i went 83 miles in 5 weeks and these past two weeks ive put 2.

i thought the car was made to be driven? i told myself i wasnt goona track my s2k becuase i have a track car... four tracks later, i still want to abuse her becuase she loves it. to enjoying the ride!

3 grand, which pretty much another project car.

it's a hardtop or project MR2 for me


but the things about hardtop, you can buy a used one, sell it later on when you are done with the S, unless you do something stupid like flipping it over you can pretty much sell it for the price you paid.

also, no more slashed top for an easy break-in

 

okay what years come in hard top. i am looking around at s2000's an am intrested. but i cant FINDany hard tops for sale. howcome? is it just that rare...?

 

no years come in hardtop, you have to buy one from Honda
